Manual entry is not a missing feature

Bank linking can be convenient, but it also means trusting a third-party connection with sensitive financial access, waiting for imports to arrive, and fixing whatever the sync miscategorized. NeverRunShort takes a different path: you enter the accounts and bills that matter, and the app projects from the plan you intentionally created.

Privacy-first, but still practical

Recurring bills and income keep the day-to-day work low. Once the regular items are in, most updates are small: mark a bill done, move one date, add a new payment, or adjust a balance. In return, you get a forecast that is not dependent on a bank connection staying alive.

Your data stays portable

NeverRunShort lets you export a JSON backup of your planner or a CSV of transactions from Settings. That matters for trust: a private planner should not become a private trap.

What you keep by entering your own numbers

No financial credentials sharedYou never type bank usernames or passwords into NeverRunShort.
No stale aggregator feedYour plan does not silently depend on a third-party import working today.
Intentional forecastingYou decide which upcoming bills, transfers, and income belong in the plan.

No bank-linking FAQ

Yes. NeverRunShort is manual-entry by design. You enter accounts, balances, bills, income, and transfers yourself, with no bank credentials or aggregator connection required.
Some people do not want to share bank credentials with a third-party aggregator, deal with broken sync connections, or depend on imported transactions being categorized correctly. Manual entry gives more control and keeps the plan intentional.
